How do Scarecrow Vampire Fangs work?

With the all-inclusive kit, you can fit your fangs on-the-spot wherever you have a mirror. The Deluxe Fang Styles' liquid and powder customizing material  forms a permanent, snap-fitting mold of your tooth for a tight, "clip-on" fit. This one-time fitting process allows the fangs to be taken off and put back on for years of use. Retractable Fangs anchor to your teeth using thermoplastic pellets.

Which size would fit my teeth better?

The Original Scarecrow Vampire Fangs - "Classic Deluxe Custom Fangs" (Two 18mm Fang Caps) are designed for people with average to larger teeth. They may fit either canines and/or incisors or bottom teeth.

Small Sexy Deluxe Custom Fangs (Two 14mm Fang Caps) are designed for people with smaller teeth, or those looking for a subtler look. They may fit either canines and/or incisors or bottom teeth.

Are Scarecrow Fangs reusable?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SVF fangs are fully reusable for years after customization. The initial customizing kit has enough material for several applications in the event you want to refit one or both fangs. Once you've completed the customization, they are reusable without any additional adhesives.

Can I recustomize my fangs?

Accepted Answer

If you want to re-customize your fangs, you can purchase a refill kit that includes only liquid and powder from our shop page. Pry the old molding material out of the fang caps using tweezers and/or needle nose pliers. It may help to put the fangs in hot water for a few minutes then look for areas where the mold may have loosened from the fang cap. Once warm, gently pinch the front and back of the tooth cap together to help the separation along.

Can I eat & drink with my fangs in?

Although harmless if ingested, we don't suggest that because we do not want you to swallow them. Please be aware that highly pigmented foods and drinks could discolor them.

How do I clean my fangs?

Accepted Answer

We recommend washing them using a gentle soap and water, or soaking them in clear mouthwash for 3-5 minutes to keep them clean in order to preserve the liner/mold inside.  
Do not soak in soap or mouthwash that are not clear as colors may stain your fangs.

Can I bite someone with my fangs?

NO!!! No. Absolutely not. Bad idea. Biting someone is illegal and it's also mean and gross. SVF fangs are for "theatrical" use only which means: pretend. Period.

Question 8

The color of the mold inside the fangs yellowed over time, is that a problem?"

Accepted Answer

No! Depending on the acidity level of your saliva, the mold may change color over time. The color of the molding material doesn't change its strength or tenacity.

Can I wear my fangs all night after customizing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, but you MUST first remove them for a moment:
#6 Customizing Process - REMOVE & IMMEDIATELY PUT BACK IN: 
After 15 minutes gently push your lower teeth forward  against the backside of the fang tips until you hear a slight click or crack sound. TEMPORARILY REMOVE your fangs for a couple seconds.  Put them back on and wear them as long as you like.  DO NOT WEAR ALL NIGHT OR FALL ASLEEP WITH THEM ON WITHOUT TEMPORARILY REMOVING THEM!!

I kept my fangs in too long after customizing and can't get them off!

In over 32 years of making fangs, not a single person (that we know of) has ever not been able to get the fangs off; even fangs worn for over 24 hours right after customization- but we don't suggest you do that. We suggest that you make a cup of hot tea (as hot as you can stand it without burning your tongue) and swish it around inside your mouth over the fangs for 5-10 minutes* while simultaneously wiggling the fang caps to get them loose. That will usually do the trick.

*make sure to take new sips to keep the liquid hot

Are there any precautions I should know before using my fangs?

SVF fangs are non-toxic & safe on teeth* but there are several precautions. Please read the following carefully;

- Reusable novelty fangs are for temporary use only.
- Fangs are not a toy, keep out of children's reach
- For adult and young-adult entertainment & costume use, ages 14 & up.
- *Do not use over braces, wires, plates, crowns, bonding, veneers, dentures or any other dental work.
- *Do not use if you have irritated or sensitive gums nor right after a dental cleaning until your gums heal.
- Once purchased, fangs are not returnable for any reason, even if unopened.
- To prevent swallowing, do not eat, drink or sleep with your fangs on.
- Store unused kit out of direct sunlight or direct heat.
- Kit works best when used at room temperature.
- Some fake blood, brightly colored foods, drinks, mouthwashes and similar items may stain your fangs.
- Handle fangs gently, blood-tips & metallic color finishes may wear or chip with use.
- NO BITING with your fangs.
